Social Worker for Social Administration in Transition

Do you have a genuine interest in social work and good knowledge of authority exercise? Are you a communicative and committed person with a degree in social work? Then apply for the position of social worker at a social administration in transition!

About the Workplace

In the city, the social administration is responsible for individual and family care. Our mission is to enable residents to become independent in life so that they can take an active part in society.

We are now one year into our new organization focused on creating a more accessible social service based on three main areas: authority operations, interventions and services, and housing. We have high ambitions. But to succeed, we need you (and a few more).

The authority's investigation section consists of over 100 social workers divided into five units with two teams in each unit, where each team has mixed competencies in social psychiatry, addiction, and child and family issues. Each team has a team leader who is the operational leader in everyday life and a complement to your immediate manager who has responsibility for the work environment.

We want you to have a safe and good work environment; therefore, in cases where it is relevant, there are always two caseworkers on cases. We are now looking for new employees for our teams, and we are looking for you who have experience in authority exercise concerning children and young people aged 0-20 years.

Job Responsibilities

As a social worker within the authority, you are responsible for investigation, assessment, planning, and follow-up. An important part of the work is documentation and collaboration, both with colleagues within the same administration and with other authorities and organizations. Our teams consist of employees who have a strong desire to develop and achieve common goals, and where there is a mix of competence and experience. Together, we make the work exciting and developing!

What We Offer

Your future colleagues believe that one of the best things about the job is that you are never fully trained but can and need to develop and learn new things. Employees report that they agree that the biggest challenge of the job is understanding that no one can do everything, but everyone can do something.

We offer you a varied, responsible, and stimulating job. Within the authority, when work allows, there is an opportunity to work remotely. We are keen for you to feel a good balance between work and leisure.

You will have a flexible employment contract, which means that you can plan your working hours together with your manager so that you can be flexible based on personal needs, but of course, be present when those we are here for need us.

Our workplace is smoke-free and health-conscious, and as an employee, you will receive a wellness allowance of 3000 SEK per year, as well as many other great offers to utilize in our benefits portal E-passi.

Qualifications

To be allowed to work with authority exercise concerning children and young people at the Social Administration, you must have:

  • A degree in social work of 180 credits
  • At least two years of experience as an investigative social worker within children and young people
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to drive in service
  • Knowledge of and understanding of the laws and regulations we work under
  • Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing, as well as good digital understanding

We consider it meritorious if you have experience in social change work within social services. It is also an advantage if you have knowledge of MI (motivational interviewing), Signs of Safety, and the operational system Lifecare.
